We want to clarify that despite providing all of the services of an Urgent Care facility, including being open for long hours, 365 days per year, doing X-rays, and laceration repair, etc., we have been determined to be a Primary Care office by your insurance company. This means that the “place of service” is not a hospital or urgent care center but a primary care office. This may result in your insurance company charging you a higher copay, co-insurance, or deductible, or some of the treatments you receive, like X-rays, may not be covered by your insurance plan. We are reviewing this designation with the insurance companies and hope to have a resolution soon. Until a determination is made on this case, you will be responsible for any charges deemed patient responsibility by your insurance.
